Opened in autumn 2012, on the ground floor of Hotel Royale Bucharest, this is one of the top restaurants in Bucharest and awarded by TripAdvisor travelers.

Especially if one ever wondered what it's like to have a beef steak on hot stone prepared at your table. Feel the charm - and enjoy the recipes brought all the way from Switzerland by Chef Jakob Hausmann. The menu includes many traditional Swiss dishes, that are renewed seasonally. Mornings start with breakfast for the guests at Europa Royale Bucharest Hotel, while the evenings get spectacular, with different types of fondue and raclette. Desserts are seasonal and every month has a special Swiss week.
A romantic, candlelit atmosphere is set for your lunch or dinner. Outdoor seating is available during summer time. Last but not least, the view of the Old Town is picturesque all year round. Combined with the Chef's cooking style, a meal at "Mica Elveție" Restaurant is a true gourmet experience.

Jakob Hausmann, a friendly personality
He was born in Steckborn, Switzerland, where he graduated from cooking school and obtained many degrees in the culinary arts. He moved to Romania in 1991 and, a few years later, he opened the first "Mica Elveţie" Restaurant.

14 years ago, he brought a Swiss speciality to the local market, one that his hands later turned famous: beef steak on hot stone. He is Jakob Hausmann, a Culinary Arts Master, and "Mica Elveţie" is his home, situated on the ground floor of Europa Royale Hotel.

He cooked for Jean Claude Van Damme, Wesley Snipes, Pink, Steven Seagal, Roger Federer, famous football players and politicians. He was the host of many culinary TV shows and is the author of 4 cooking books.

His menu is a work-in-progress, with fresh seasonal ingredients that he turns into unique combinations, because his passion is bringing tastes, ideas and scents together. He is appreciated for his professional demeanour, his charming enthusiasm and his enterprising spirit. And, last but not least, for his charismatic smile. Jakob Hausmann promises many memorable culinary experiences to anyone who pays him a visit!
